Welcome to my website. I document my adventures in sequential art, comic cons, and paintings. Check out my store fronts. #coloristilluminati

Thought I’d make a post about my two favorite sketch books. If you see me working something out for my illustrations, it’ll be in either of these two sketch books.

#1 Handbooks:

These are great for markers, ink, light washes, pens, pencils, etc. Great for quick mixed media stuff- whatever you have on you. I really like texture of the paper and the thickness. I find them a better alternative to moleskin.

#2 Strathmore Visual Journals (Watercolor):

These are great for watercolors! Especially on the go. I like small journals that I can use anywhere (especially when I have time off and I’m travelling). The fact that these are spiral bound makes it easy to prevent bleeding on watercolors. They hold frisket really well also. I did my 30 paintings in 30 days in one of these sketchbooks.
